Big Rapids, Mich. – The University of Findlay women's soccer team earned a convincing 3-0 victory over Ferris State on Friday, September 4. The Oilers scored all three of their goals in the second half to improve to 3-1-0 on the season.

Findlay and Ferris State played to a scoreless tie through the opening 45 minutes. The Oilers held a 4-3 advantage in shots during the opening half, while goalkeeper Cat Graves made two saves to keep the Bulldogs off the scoreboard.

Findlay broke through just 1:51 into the second half when Taylir Lynam sent a header home of an assist from Addison Williams at the 46:51 mark to give the Oilers a 1-0 lead.

The Oilers added to their advantage in the 67th minute when Addison Williams scored her first goal of the afternoon at 66:38, extending the Findlay lead to 2-0. Williams struck again just under four minutes later, converting a penalty kick at 70:34 to complete the scoring and give the Oilers a 3-0 advantage.

Williams led the Findlay attack with two goals on five shots, four of which were on target. Lynam added one goal on one shot on frame, while Raegan Smith recorded two shots, both on target.

Defensively, Graves recorded two saves while posting her second shutout of the season. Ferris State managed just six total shots, with two finding the target.
Findlay finished the contest with a 13-6 advantage in shots and earned three corner kicks compared to five for Ferris State.

The Oilers will return to action on Sunday, September 6 when they travel to Saginaw Valley State for an 11 am kickoff.
