The University of Findlay volleyball team fell 3-2 (20-25, 27-25, 23-25, 27-25, 9-15) to Wayne State University on Saturday, October 1, in Detroit, Michigan. With the loss, the Oilers drop to 2-7 in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) action and 5-9 overall.
Hard hitter Mackenzie Vorst slammed 20 kills in the contest and Jessica VonIns produced 42 assists in the contest.
Jacqui Endre made 18 digs for the Oilers while Andrea Holthaus had seven blocks.
The Oilers will return to action on Sunday, October 2, when Findlay travels to Hillsdale, Michigan. Findlay will face the Hillsdale College Chargers with a start time of 2 p.m.
