The University of Findlay volleyball team won two matches on Saturday, September 3 in Golden, Colorado, defeating Colorado Mesa 3-2 (25-20, 25-19, 17-25, 22-25, 16-14) and winning 3-0 (25-21, 25-14, 25-11) against Fort Lewis.  The wins even the Oilers record at 2-2 on the year.

In the win over Colorado Mesa, senior setter Jessica VonIns tallied 15 kills, 32 assists and 13 digs while sophomore middle blockers Mackenzie Vorst and Danielle Taflinger recorded 11 and ten kills, respectively.

Defensively, sophomore libero Jacqui Endre and senior libero Rachael Hammond had 18 and 12 digs, respectively.

Taflinger led the team with ten kills against Fort Lewis while VonIns tallied seven kills, 22 assists and 13 digs.

The Oilers will be back in action again on September 7 when they host Hillsdale College in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) action at 7:30 pm in Croy Gymnasium.
