Eagles Soar Over Oilers, 3-1

The University of Findlay volleyball team fell 3-1 (23-25, 23-25, 27-25, 20-25) to Ashland University in the first home conference match of the 2012 season. Findlay stands at 3-5 with the loss.

Mackenzie Vorst led the Oilers offense with 18 kills while Danielle Taflinger generated 15 kills. Sophomore Amanda Calhoun recorded 44 assists on the night.

Brittany Hall produced 18 digs while senior Andrea Holthaus had five blocks.

The Oilers will be back in action tomorrow, September 15, as they host Lake Erie College. The match is slated for 2 p.m.
