The University of Findlay volleyball team improved to 3-1 on the season with a 3-0 win over Urbana University on Saturday, Sep. 7 in Croy Gymnasium.

The Oilers, who will play California (Pa.) later tonight, were led by junior Danielle Taflinger, who tallied a match-high 16 kills. 

Taflinger, the reigning Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) South Division Player of the Week, hit .560 for the match and also added six block assists in the victory.

Junior Mackenzie Vorst added eight kills while senior Maggie Naayers also chipped in eight kills in the match.

Sophomore Amanda Calhoun paced the offense with 34 assists and 13 digs while freshman Becca Shoemaker had 17 digs.
