The University of Findlay volleyball team improved to 7-2 on the season with a 3-1 (25-19, 25-19, 18-25, 25-15) win over Mt. St. Joseph on Tuesday, Sept. 17 in Croy Gymnasium.

Senior Mackenzie Vorst led the team with eight kills, eight digs and four blocks while sophomores Julie Lyons and Andrea Roach contributed six kills apiece.

Senior Danielle Taflinger recorded five kills and seven blocks while junior Lindsy Reindel had five kills and three blocks.

Junior Amanda Calhoun stuffed the stat sheet with four kills, 20 assists and eight digs while senior Brittany Hall and sophomore Becca Shoemaker had nine digs apiece to lead the squad.

The Oilers will begin conference play on Friday at Ashland and then head to Lake Erie on Saturday.  The match against Ashland is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. while the Oilers will battle the Storm at 6 p.m.
