The University of Findlay volleyball team defeated Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Lake Superior State Lakers on Friday, September 19 by a final of 3-0 (25-20, 25-14, 25-21).

The Oilers, who are now 6-2 on the year with a 3-0 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC), were led by sophomore Hannah Tong, who had a match-high 15 kills.  Tong hit .414 for the match as well.

Red-shirt freshman Nickyla Garverick also reached double digits in kills, smacking down 11 in the win.  Garverick had a great day swinging, hitting .667 in the match.

Freshman Erika Roach contributed nine kills while hitting .412 while senior Amanda Calhoun produced 44 assists and four digs.

Junior Becca Shoemaker paced the defense with 15 digs.

The Oilers will return to Croy tomorrow to host Northwood at 4 pm.
