The University of Findlay volleyball team improved to 3-1 on the year with a 3-2 (22-25, 25-13, 27-25, 17-25, 15-12) win over Pittsburg State on Sep. 6 in Kansas City, Mo.

Junior Andrea Roach led the way with 13 kills and six blocks while her sister, freshman Erika Roach, turned in 12 kills.

Sophomore Hannah Tong registered 11 kills while red-shirt freshman Nickyla Garverick accumulated nine kills and six blocks.

Junior Julie Lyons hit .400 for the match and contributed seven kills and six blocks while senior Amanda Calhoun had a double-double with 41 assists and ten digs.  She also added five kills and three blocks in the win.

Junior Becca Shoemaker led the defense with 18 digs while freshman Madelyn McCabe had 11.

The Oilers will now prepare to take on Rockhurst University at 5 p.m. tonight.
