The University of Findlay volleyball team improved to 12-3 on season and 6-1 in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play as the defeated Northern Michigan 3-1 (22-25, 25-19, 26-24, 25-18) on Saturday, Oct. 3.

Freshman Amanda Winner and junior Hannah Tong led the way for the Oilers as they both totaled 14 kills and seven digs a piece.  Senior Julie Lyons hit .476 in the match and accumulated 13 kills and three blocks.

Senior Becca Shoemaker had 16 digs and freshman Hailee Olson added 55 assists.

Senior Andrea Roach pitched in with nine kills, while hitting .562.

The Oilers are back in action Friday Oct. 16 in the GLIAC/GLVC Crossover in Aurora, Ill.
