The University of Findlay volleyball team improved to 9-3 on the season and 3-1 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) on Saturday, Sep. 26 after they defeated the Northwood University Timberwolves 3-1 (22-25, 27-25, 25-21, 25-15).

Junior Hannah Tong and freshman Amanda Winner both reached double digits kills, smashing 16 and 11, respectively.  Winner also added 10 digs.

Senior Julie Lyons and sophomore Nickyla Garverick contributed on both sides of the net for the Oilers.  Lyons had six kills and six blocks, while Garverick chipped in with nine kills and seven total blocks.

Senior Becca Shoemaker led the team with 14 digs and three aces.

Freshman Hailee Olson accounted for 46 assists, 10 digs, and seven blocks. 

The Oilers will be back in action Tuesday, Sep. 29 as they host Hillsdale College in Croy Gymnasium.  The match is scheduled to begin at 7pm.
