The University of Findlay volleyball team came away victorious 3-2 (25-17, 19-25, 15-25, 25-19, 15-11) against Hillsdale College on Tuesday, Sep. 29 to improve to 10-3 on the season with a 4-1 record in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

Three Oilers eclipsed the double digit kill plateau with junior Hannah Tong leading the way with 21 kills.  Senior Julie Lyons added 16 and freshman Amanda Winner pitched in 11.  Lyons and Tong also had two blocks each.

Freshman Hailee Olson had 50 assists for Findlay while senior Becca Shoemaker and freshman Kara Scherger led the Oilers with 10 digs each.

Junior Mallorie Kah had seven blocks and senior Andrea Roach had five blocks and six kills.

The Oilers are back in action Friday, Oct. 2 as they host Michigan Tech in Croy Gymnasium.  The match is scheduled to start at 7pm.
