The University of Findlay volleyball team lost to Lewis University today, October 13, in their first match of the Midwest Crossover in Aurora, Ill. The 0-3 (25-23, 25-19, 25-18) loss today brings the Oilers season record to 16-3 and their conference record to 9-1.

The Oilers were led by junior Amanda Winner who recorded 12 kills and seven digs. Sophomore Ally Duncan contributed eight kills, while sophomore Molly Hammersmith added six.

Junior Hailee Olson recorded 31 assists and five digs for Findlay.

Defensively, the team was led by junior Kara Scherger with 20 digs.

The Oilers next match of the Midwest Crossover will start at 6:30pm tonight, October 13, in Aurora Ill. where they will face University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
