The University of Findlay wrestling team opened their season at the University of Indianapolis Duals on Jan. 16 in Indianapolis, Ind. The 17th-ranked Roughnecks finished with a 1-1 record at the event as they defeated Davenport 26-18 and fell 25-10 to 11th-ranked Indianapolis.

In the win over Davenport, the Roughnecks scored six wins and received two pins as senior Zachary Collins pinned Trashon Rinkines in 1:07 and third-ranked senior James Wimer pinned Levi Six in 2:55.

In the loss to Indianapolis, Collins again scored a victory at 125 after defeating Nick Brady 7-5 while Wimer earned a 14-1, major decision against fourth-ranked Dawson Combest.
