The 24th-ranked University of Findlay women's soccer team fell 2-0 to 9th-ranked Grand Valley State University on Sep. 4 in Allendale, Mich. The loss gives the Oilers a 1-1 record on the season.

The game remained scoreless until the 63rd minute when the Lakers got on the board. They then added a second goal in the 73rd minute and outshot the Oilers 25-2 in the contest.

Sophomore Kennedy Slovak allowed both goals and made eight saves in the loss.

The Oilers are scheduled to be back in action again on Sep. 9 when they play host to Salem at 4pm.
