Farmington, Pa.- The University of Findlay women's golf team, ranked fifth in the country, played host to the Nemacolin Intercollegiate on the grounds of Nemacolin Resort in Farmington, Pennsylvania. The 54-hole event, played at Mystic Rock Golf Course, concluded today, Oct. 24. The Oilers finished third, falling short of both #8 Indianapolis and #6 Henderson State. Findlay posted scores of 308 (+20), 294 (+6), and 304 (+16) to finish with a 54-hole score of 906 (+42).Â
The field included nine teams, seven of which are nationally ranked or receiving votes. Those teams included: #1 Dallas Baptist, #5 Findlay, #6 Henderson St., #8 Indianapolis, #11 Lee, #24 UMSL, and RV North Georgia.
Continuing her successful fall campaign was junior Mary Kelly Mulcahy. Mulcahy, who was tied for thirteenth overnight, finished her final 28 holes at three-under par to climb eight spots on the leaderboard and capture the individual title. Her rounds of 78 (+6), 73 (+1), and 68 (-4) edged out the competition giving her the one-shot victory.Â
The win is the sixth of M.K. Mulcahy's career, officially tying teammate senior Gabby Woods at six wins, the most wins in the NCAA era for the women's golf program. The Lima, Ohio native concludes the fall season with three wins and two runner-up finishes.Â
Senior Gabby Woods cracked the top-ten. Her rounds of 74 (+2), 70 (-2), and 82 (+10) left her tied for ninth.Â

This concludes the fall season for the Oilers. They will now enter the offseason in which they will prepare for their championship segment this spring.Â
