Findlay, Ohio- The University of Findlay women's golf team, ranked fifth in the country, wrapped up play at their home tournament, the annual William Beall Fall Classic at Findlay Country Club on Tuesday, Oct. 3. Unable to put together a late tournament comeback, the Oilers finished runner-up in the event, posting a team score of 299 (+11) on the final day for a three-round total of 887 (+23), seven shots behind #8 Indianapolis.
Junior Mary Kelly Mulcahy, who has led the Oilers all season, did so again this week. She finished runner-up individually, falling one stroke shy of Tiffin's Lisa Marie Schumacher. The Lima, Ohio native fired rounds of 74 (+2), 68 (-4), and 74 (+2) to finish the tournament at even-par to earn a spot on the all-tournament team. During the fall season, M.K. Mulcahy has secured a top-two finish in all three tournaments played.
Joining M.K. Mulcahy on the all-tournament team was freshman Ashleigh Duflo. Duflo finished the tournament in a tie for fourth, her best finish of her college career. She recorded rounds of 73 (+1), 71 (-1), and 74 (+2) to finish at two-over par.Â
Finishing just outside of the top-five was senior Gabby Woods who finished in sixth. She carded rounds of 70 (-2), 75 (+3), and 75 (+3) to leave herself at four-over par.

The Oilers will be back in action as they travel to the LeeAnn Noble Memorial hosted by North Georgia. The event will run Oct. 9 and Oct. 10 in Dahlonega, Ga.
