Denton, Texas- The University of Findlay women's golf team, ranked fifth in the latest Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Division II rankings, is in the Lone Star state for the DBU Women's Classic at Wildhorse Golf Club at Robson Ranch. Round two of three concluded on Monday, Sep. 18. The three day, 54-hole event features nine nationally ranked teams including #1 Dallas Baptist, #4 West Texas A&M, #6 Henderson State, #8 Indianapolis, #9 Tampa, #15 Barry, #19 Oklahoma Christian, and #24 Missouri- St. Louis. Findlay's 36-hole score of 574 is a new program record.

Through 36 holes of play, Findlay is tied for third with St. Mary's University. Dallas Baptist leads the event after recording a round two score of 278 (-10). The Oilers have recorded rounds of 289 (+1) and 285 (-3) and are currently two-under par for the tournament, just three shots back of the leader. Nevertheless, the top of the leaderboard is tight, with the leading five teams separated by a mere seven shots.

Senior Gabby Woods fired a 68 (-4) to lead the Oilers on day two. Woods bogeyed her third hole of the day before recording five birdies on the back-nine. Junior Mary Kelly Mulcahy continues to be a force for the Orange and Black. She recorded a 71 (-1) on day one before recording a round of 70 (-2) today.
