Ann Arbor, Michigan- The University of Findlay men's and women's track and field team traveled to Ann Arbor, MI on Jan. 26 to compete in the two-day Michigan Invitational. The Oilers had limited athletes competing on day one.
Top Finishes Men-
- Eliot Cummings (SR) finished seventh in the long jump with a mark of 6.68m
- Alex Mutchler (SR) took second place in pole vault with a height of 4.96m. Nate Buschur (FR) finished third with a height of 4.81m. Mutchler and Buschur met the NCAA provisional mark.
- Colin Warner (JR) took ninth in the weight throw with a provisional mark of 18.85m
- Nick Rice (GR) finished eighth in the 60m hurdles prelims with a time of 8.47 to advance to the finals
- Josh Verhoff (GR) finished fifth in the 60m dash prelims with a time of 6.88 to advance to the finals.
Top Finishes Women-
- Trista Fintel (JR) finished tenth in the weight throw with a mark of 18.64m which meets the provisional mark.
- Madison Myers (JR) took eighth place in the long jump with a distance of 5.41m
- Jordan Taylor (SR) took fourth place in the 60m dash prelims with a time of 7.61 with this time Taylor will advance to the finals. Her time was a provisional mark.
The Oilers will be back in action tomorrow as they complete the meet tomorrow, Jan. 27.
