Farmington, Pa. - The University of Findlay men's golf team concluded play as the host of the 2024 Intercollegiate at Nemacolin which was held at Mystic Rock Golf Course on the grounds of the Nemacolin Resort in Farmington, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, Oct. 22. Playing against ranked teams that included #2 North Georgia and #7 Grand Valley St., the Oilers finished in fourth with a 54-hole score of 872 (+8) after concluding round two, which was suspended due to darkness, with a 284 (-4) and posting a final round score of 296 (+8).
Sophomore Colin Schadek earned all-tournament honors by finishing in a tie for fourth with a 212 (-4), tying the ninth-best three-round total in program history. Schadek was tied for first in the field in Par 5 scoring, averaging 4.42 for a total of seven-under on those holes. This is his third consecutive top-ten finish.
Also securing a top-ten finish was junior Luke Metzger, also his third consecutive tournament inside the mark. He finished tied for tenth with a score of 219 (+3) after rounds of 72, 72, and 75. Sophomore teammate Tyler Brockwell finished tied for 12th at four-over (220) while freshman Cahle Roth was 17th at 221 (+5).
Freshman Cahle Roth, who finished in 17th, put together a sub-70 score in his second round, shooting 69 (-3) in his second 18-hole stretch.
