Tiffin, Ohio – The University of Findlay men's golf team has the lead through 36 holes at the Kyle Ryman Memorial which is being hosted by Tiffin University at Mohawk Golf Club in Tiffin, Ohio on Oct. 7-8. A seven-shot lead is the result of a two-round score of 580 (+4) for the Oilers, which had scores of 288 (E) and 292 (E) on a sunny day just 36 miles east of Findlay.
Sophomore Colin Schadek led the way for the Oilers, firing a first-round score of 69 (-3) before an afternoon round of 72 (E). His score of 141 (-3) is tied for second in the tournament, one shot behind Maximiliano Dufey of Kentucky State who carded a pair of 70s. Schadek birdied his first hole of the tournament and would make four more birdies in his opening round. Going out in 38 (+2) in his second 18, Schadek birdied three of his final seven holes, including the last, to get his round back to even-par for the round.
Hanging out in a tie for ninth is freshman Cahle Roth who sits at even-par (144). He put together rounds of 71 (-1) and 73 (+2) to place himself in the top-ten in the event which features 72 players.
