Monroe, N.C.- The University of Findlay women's golf team kicked off their spring campaign at the Jerry Surratt Memorial Intercollegiate Monday, March 11. The 54-hole event, hosted by Wingate University at Stonebridge Golf Club features four of the top-25 teams in the nation, including the third ranked Oilers.

Findlay recorded rounds of 301 (+13) and 289 (+1) for a 36-hole total of 590 (+14). They are currently in second place, one stroke back of no. 20 Wingate. 

Leading the Oilers were senior Gabby Woods and sophomore Hayley Dye. The pair shot four-over par on the day to find themselves in a tie for ninth. Woods recorded rounds of 77 (+5) and 71 (-1) while Dye carded rounds of 75 (+3) and 73 (+1). 

Finishing right behind them was junior Mary Kelly Mulcahy who is tied for 14th at five-over par after rounds of 75 (+3) and 74 (+2).
