Monroe, N.C.- The University of Findlay women's golf team kicked off their spring campaign at the Jerry Surratt Memorial Intercollegiate Monday, March 11. The 54-hole event, hosted by Wingate University at Stonebridge Golf Club features four of the top-25 teams in the nation, including the third ranked Oilers.
Findlay finished the tournament with rounds of 301 (+13), 289 (+1), and 292 (+4) for a 54-hole total of 882 (+18). They finished two strokes behind the team champion and host, Wingate, ranked 20th nationally, and one shot behind the runner-up, Anderson, ranked 4th nationally, securing a third-place finish.
Leading the Oilers was junior Mary Kelly Mulcahy, who recorded a round of 69 (-3) today to move up seven spots on the leaderboard. She finished the tournament at two-over par, with rounds of 75 (+3), 74 (+2), and 69 (-3), leaving her in a tie for sixth place.
Sophomore Hayley Dye and freshman Ashleigh Duflo finished tied for 13th at eight-over par. Dye recorded rounds of 75 (+3), 73 (+1), 76 (+4) while Duflo carded rounds of 74 (+2), 77 (+5), 73 (+1).

The Oilers will be back in action as they host the Findlay Spring Invite in Richmond, Ky. on March 18th and 19th.Â
