Plymouth, Mich. - The University of Findlay men's golf team is in Plymouth, Michigan on Monday and Tuesday, Sep. 16-17 for the Get To Foundation Invitational hosted by Hillsdale College. The event is taking place at Saint Johns Golf Resort. Two rounds were played on Monday and the Oilers were the best in the field, sitting in first place after rounds of 291 (+3) and 292 (+5). Their total score of 584 (+8) is just two shots clear of Hillsdale College which is in second.

Junior Luke Metzger led the way for the Oilers and is currently in a five-way tie for the individual lead at one-under. Metzger made a combined eight birdies in his two rounds to post scores of 73 (+1) and 70 (-2).

Tied for 16th are freshman Tyler Brockwell and sophomore Colin Schadek who both sit at +5 (149). Brockwell had the best round of the day, firing a 69 (-3) in his second round.
