Oilers Share Lead After Day One of Findlay Spring Invite

Richmond, Ky.- The University of Findlay men's golf team is playing host to the Findlay Spring Invite which began Monday, March 24 at the Boone's Trace National Golf Club. The field includes nationally ranked #18 Missouri S&T and #25 Missouri- St. Louis. The Oilers share the lead after recording rounds of 279 (-9) and 288 (E) for a 36-hole score of 567 (-9).

Sophomore Colin Schadek leads the way for Findlay. He recorded a career-low 65 (-7) in round one, the third-lowest 18-hole score in program history. His second-round 73 (+1) leaves him in fifth at six-under par. He is four shots off the lead which is held by Missouri S&T's Connor Benjamin who is ten-under par.

Junior Luke Metzger is tied for seventh at four-under par after rounds of 72 (E) and 68 (-4).
