Football Breaks Into AFCA National Poll

Waco, Texas- While the season is still young and nothing has yet been achieved, three wins in three games is not a small feat. A 3-0 start has only happened 16 times in 122 seasons of Oilers football. For that effort, the Oilers have cracked the top-25 in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division II Coaches Poll. The last time the Oilers appeared in the national rankings was on Nov. 11, 2024 following the conclusion of Week Ten, when they were ranked 22nd.

The Oilers, ranked 25th,  join #1 Ferris State, #9 Augustana, #10 Grand Valley State, #14 Minnesota State, #16 Minnesota Duluth, and #22 Indianapolis as the lone teams ranked in Super Region III. Findlay is the only team in the conference ranked in the poll.

Findlay is home for Week Four as they welcome the Thomas More Saints to Donnell Stadium. The game will kickoff at 7pm, marking the first home night game for the Orange and Black since Sep. 11, 2021.
