Coral Springs, Fla. - The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has announced the results of the latest Mizuno WGCA Coaches Poll.
The University of Findlay women's golf team has ascended to the top of the ranking for the first time in program history, jumping up from their preseason ranking of fourth. Defending NCAA Champion Dallas Baptist University falls down from the top spot to third in the poll while Wingate moves up one spot into second.
Findlay's move to the top comes following a red-hot start to the 2025-26 season. After opening up the year at the Folds of Honor Collegiate where they took on some of the top Division I teams in the country, the Oilers have won back-to-back events, finishing at the top in the Folds of Honor Challenge and the Wayne State Warrior Invitational. The big statement came in the Folds of Honor Challenge where UF won by 26 shots in a field that included current no. 3 Dallas Baptist, no. 7 Grand Valley State, and no. 12 West Texas A&M.
The Oilers will be back in action on Monday, Sep. 29 in a one-day tournament hosted by Grand Valley State, the Gilda's Club Laker Fall Invite.
