The Oilers' women, ranked 13
th in the country, have four consecutive conference titles and have re-established themselves as the unquestioned leader in the conference having won six conference titles in the past nine years.
Quote from Head Coach DIego Santos
It was a very exciting week. But it all started back on August. We were able to set the standard from the beginning. We knew other teams kept getting better and stronger, we know they want to beat us, but at the end of the day, we knew it was up to us.
This week, the team showed up big time. We had a few ladies that's were battling some injuries, and they showed everyone what being a team player is about. Emily Mears-Bentley and Sophie Busby went out there and over and over pushed through a lot of pain and put their season on the line simple because they care so much about their teammates and wanted to do their part.Â
We had such an amazing group of people this year and I'm beyond proud of what they accomplished and how they did it. We aren't done yet. Now it's time to make noise at NCAAs and continue making history.
Along with the two team titles and 33 individual titles, the Oilers are coming home with more hardware.
