Allendale, Mich. / Tiffin, Ohio- The University of Findlay track and field teams competed at two meets on Saturday, Feb. 14, splitting athletes between the GVSU Big Meet at Grand Valley State and the Tiffin Robinson Family Open at Tiffin University. The Oilers set a school record and achieved three NCAA provisional qualifying marks.

GVSU Big Meet Notable Results
Men

• Nathan Strahm (Fr.) placed eighth in the 800m open with a time of 1:55.18.

Women

• Lauren Sattler (So.) won the 3000m open in 9:51.22, setting a new school record.
• Anna Heren (Jr.) finished fourth in the 800m open after recording a time of 2:16.12.

Tiffin University Robinson Family Open Notable Results
Men

• Nathan Kesler (Fr.) took first place in the 400m with a winning time of 52.31.
• Austin Mattox (Fr.) finished third in the 400m after clocking 53.13.
• Samuel Derstine (Jr.) placed fourth in the 800m with a time of 1:58.51.
• Tyler Thompson (Fr.) earned third in the 60m final, posting a time of 7.02.
• RJ Adkins (Fr.) came in fourth in the 200m with a mark of 23.55.
• Alex Mutchler (Sr.) won the pole vault with a clearance of 5.17m, meeting the NCAA provisional standard and ranking ninth in Division II this season.
• Nathan Buschur (Jr.) cleared 4.75m to finish third in the pole vault.
• Panashe Chavi (Fr.) recorded a height of 4.60m to take fourth in the pole vault.
• Joel Stirn (Fr.) posted a jump of 6.76m to place fifth in the long jump.

Women

• Taylor Scribner (So.) captured the 60m title in 7.80 and later finished fourth in the 200m with a time of 26.75.
• Gloria Mengolo (So.) won both the 200m in 26.24 and the 60m hurdles in 8.97.
• Emma Makin (Jr.) crossed the line fifth in the 200m, clocking 26.75.
• Haley Rose (Fr.) turned in a fourth-place showing in the 400m with a time of 1:03.94.
• Emma Hammer (So.) led the field in the 800m, posting a winning time of 2:21.05.
• Hadley Schultz (Jr.) secured third in the 800m with a mark of 2:21.92.
• Amelia Mizelle (Sr.) earned runner-up honors in the 60m hurdles after finishing in 9.15.
• Taylor Aldredge (Fr.) cleared 1.57m to take third in the high jump.
• Shae Berger (Fr.) matched a height of 1.52m to place fifth in the high jump.
• Colleen Steinmetz (So.) soared to first in the pole vault at 4.05m, achieving an NCAA provisional standard.
• Brayden Snider (Fr.) finished second in the pole vault with a clearance of 3.72m, also hitting the NCAA provisional standard.
• Erin Moran (So.) recorded a vault of 3.57m to claim third place.
• Maci Ames (Jr.) also cleared 3.57m, placing fourth in the pole vault.
• Ava Kiefer (Sr.) delivered a fourth-place performance in the weight throw with a distance of 14.32m.
   

Findlay will be back in action Friday, Feb. 20 as they host the Flag City Open.
