Men's Golf Tied For Third After Day One of Findianapolis Intercollegiate

Laconia, Ind.- The University of Findlay men's golf team sits tied for third after day one of the Findianapolis Intercollegiate on Monday, March 30. The event, co-hosted by the Oilers and the University of Indianapolis, is being played at Chariot Run Golf Club, a 7,169-yard, par 72 course. Findlay posted rounds of 292 (+4) and 297 (+9) for a 36-hole total of 589 (+13), trailing leader Ferris State University by ten strokes.

Findlay was led by senior Luke Metzger, who is tied for seventh after day one. He carded rounds of 73 (+1) and 72 (E) for a 36-hole total of 145 (+1), sitting just three shots back of leader Kole Putnam of Ferris State, who is at 2-under through 36 holes.

Sophomore Cahle Roth and freshman Ross Dietz are both tied for 14th at 148 (+4). Roth posted rounds of 72 (E) and 76 (+4), while Dietz recorded scores of 75 (+3) and 73 (+1).
