Big Rapids, Mich. - The University of Findlay men's golf team completed the second round of the NCAA DII Central/Midwest Regional on Friday, May 8. The event is being hosted by Ferris State University at Katke Golf Course in Big Rapids. The three-round event continued on Friday, May 8 at Katke, a course that is playing 6,967 yards this week and is a Par 72. Through two rounds, the Oilers are in a tie for 15th with a score of 601 after shooting 302 (+14) on Friday.
Sophomore Cahle Roth paced the Oilers in the second round, carding a 73 (+1) to reach T46 at +6 overall. In a tie for 53rd, senior Luke Metzger posted a 77 (+5) for a two-round total of 151 (+7). Senior Zach Miller shot 77 (+5) and is tied for 66th at 153 (+9). Junior Colin Schadek also sits in a tie for 66th at +9 after an 81 (+9) in round two. Rounding out Findlay's countable scores is freshman Ross Dietz, who is T90. He shot 75 (+3) on Friday for a tournament total of 157 (+13).
The final round will take place on Saturday, May 9.
