Box Score The University of Findlay men's basketball team, ranked first in the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) poll, defeated the University of Wisconsin-Parkside 88-74 in a Midwest Region match-up on Monday, December 29 in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The victory gives the Oilers a 9-0 record on the season.
Findlay reached their season-high of 88 points by shooting 63.5 percent (33-of-52) from the floor, which was also the best mark of the year thus far. The Oilers also converted 16-of-17 (94.1%) of their attempts from the charity stripe and held the Rangers to 44.6 percent (25-of-56) shooting in the win.
Individually, senior forward Josh Bostic led the way with a season-high 24 points while senior forward Morgan Lewis poured in a season-high 22.
Bostic did most of his damage from the free throw line where he drilled a career-high 10-of-11 attempts while Lewis splashed 11-of-14 field goal attempts.
Junior guard Marcus Parker added 12 points and eight assists while senior center Lee Roberts chipped in ten points and seven rebounds.
The Rangers were led by LaVontay Fenderson who registered a game-high 32 points.
The Oilers will be back in action again on Saturday, January 3 when they host Hillsdale College in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) action. The contest is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. in Croy Gymnasium.
