The University of Findlay softball team defeated Post 9-3 on Thursday, March 6 in Clermont, Florida.  The Oilers second game against Lewis was canceled due to rain. 

Tawna Whited picked up the win on the mound by striking out four hitters in four innings.  Bonnie Zappitelli picked up the save by pitching three scoreless innings to finish the game. 

Lauren Trumpler had a big game at the plate and finished with a triple, one run scored and two runs batted in.  Morgan Arnold also helped lead the offense with a single and two runs batted in. 

Tori Allen finished the game with a single and two runs scored while Emily Reynolds finished with one run scored and a RBI.  Also, Courtney Dwyer added a single and a double in the contest. 

The Oilers return to the field on Saturday when they face Gannon and West Virginia Wesleyan in a two-game set.
