The University of Findlay volleyball team defeated Michigan Tech today, October 14, in their final match of the Midwest Crossover in Aurora, Ill. The 3-1 (23-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-17) win today brings the Oilers season record to 17-4 and their conference record to 9-1.

The Oilers were led by Junior Amanda Winner who recorded 17 kills and six digs. Sophomore Ally Duncan recorded 12 kills, while sophomore Molly Hammersmith had 11, and sophomore Shelby Kin added 10.

44 assists were recorded by junior Hailee Olson

The defense was led by both Olson and junior Kara Scherger contributed 13 digs each, while senior Megan Wendel added 12.

The Oilers are back in action at Croy Gymnasium on October 18 where they will face Urbana at 7:00pm.
