Box Score The University of Findlay women's soccer team fell 2-1 to University of Illinois-Springfield on August 31 at DeHaven Field in their first game of the season.
The Oilers took a 1-0 lead in the 23rd minute of the first half when sophomore Chloe Marburger scored her first goal of the year. She was assisted by freshman Katie Jarvis and freshman Ashley Zenker.
Illinois-Springfield tied the game less than two minutes later and scored the game-winning goal in the 74th minute.
Illinois-Springfield out-shot Findlay 13-11 and had 10 shots on goal.
Sophomore Anna Money took the loss and made 8 saves during the game.
The Oilers are hosting Southern Indiana on Saturday at noon.
