The University of Findlay women's soccer team finished the regular season with an impressive 12-2-4 overall record and a 9-1-4 mark in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play. The Oilers have demonstrated resilience and determination throughout the season, going unbeaten since September 17 against Northwood.
Findlay's offensive production has been among the best in the conference, as the Oilers have scored 35 goals while averaging 1.94 goals per game, both of which rank second in the G-MAC.
Leading the offensive charge for Findlay is sophomore forward
Addison Williams, who has put together an outstanding season. Williams finished the regular season with 10 goals, tying Thomas More's Josie Gruber for the most in the conference. Her scoring production has also earned national recognition, placing her among the top 30 goal scorers in NCAA Division II.
Helping orchestrate the Oilers' attack is fifth-year forward
Raegan Smith, who has recorded seven goals and five assists this season. The Zionsville, Indiana native ranks sixth in the G-MAC in goals and second in assists. Senior transfer
Taylir Lynam has also made a significant impact in her first season with Findlay, finishing the regular season with five goals and four assists.
Defensively, the Oilers have been equally impressive, allowing just six goals all season to rank second in the G-MAC in goals allowed. Senior leaders
Sofia Cetrone and
Ashlyn Brown have teamed up with freshman standouts
Kate Delaney and
Olivia Gayhart to form a formidable back line. All four defenders have logged at least 1,000 minutes this season, providing a consistent presence on the defensive end.Â
Behind the back line, fifth-year goalkeeper
Cat Graves has provided another layer of defensive strength. Graves has recorded a .870 save percentage, ranking third in the conference, while her 0.37 goals-against average ranks second. She has also registered 11 shutouts, the second-highest total among G-MAC goalkeepers. For her performances this season, Graves has earned G-MAC Defensive Athlete of the Week honors twice.
