The University of Findlay volleyball team won their ninth straight contest to open the season with a 3-0 (25-19, 25-13, 25-16) victory over Ohio Dominican on Sep. 15 in Croy Gymnasium.

Junior Amanda Winner and sophomore Molly Hammersmith led the Oilers offensively with 10 kills each. Winter hit .375 while Hammersmith ended the match hitting .529. Sophomore Izzy Murphy added 8 kills for the Oilers.

Junior Hailee Olson distributed a team high 37 assist while adding 2 serves aces and sophomore Shelby Kin had 6 kills and hit .600.

Junior Kara Scherger led defensively with 20 digs. She also contributed 2 aces. Junior Erika Roach added 8 digs and 2 aces for Findlay.

The Oilers will be back in action again tomorrow when they host Cedarville (1pm) and Flagler (7pm).
