Henry Named National Champion in Men's Shot Put

Results

The University of Findlay had four athletes compete in the men's Division II NCAA Track and Field Championships on March 9 in Pittsburg, Kan.

Junior Eldred Henry won the title of National Champion in the men's shot put, setting a new meet and facility record with a throw of 20.18 (66-02.50). Senior Austin Combs finished tenth in the event with a throw of 17.46 (57-03.50).

Freshman Xavier Marable was named an All-American, placing sixth in the men's 400 meter dash with a time of 47.33.

Sophomore Martin Etsey finished tenth in the men's triple jump with a distance of 15.03 (49-04.25).
