Oilers Close Out Last Chance Meet Schedule at Lee

Cleveland, Tenn.- The University of Findlay track and field teams continued their chase of NCAA Division II National Championship qualifying marks as they competed at the Lee Last Chance on Saturday, May 9.

Notable Results
Men

Sherron Jones (Sr.) finished fourth in the 200m with a time of 21.13.
Benjamin Hall (So.) came in second in the 3000m steeplechase with an NCAA Provisional Standard time of 8:56.41. That time is the twelfth best time in Division II this season.
KJ Upshaw (Sr.), Brandon Richardson (Jr.), Tyler Thompson (Fr.), Sherron Jones (Sr.) finished runner up in the 4x100m relay with a time of 40.26, meeting the NCAA Provisional Standard.

Women

Leah Smith (Jr.) recorded a time of 11.63 in the 100m. She later finished third in the 200m with a time of 23.45. Both times meet the NCAA Provisional Standards. Her time in the 200m is the tenth best in Division II this season.
Katharina Rupp (Fr.) took sixth in the 400m with a time of 55.66.
Zanri Black (So.) won the 400m hurdles with a time of 59.96, an NCAA Provisional Standard mark.
Lauren Sattler (So.) finished fourth in the 1500m with a time of 4:28.36, meeting the NCAA Provisional Standard.
Zanri Black (So.), Katharina Rupp (Fr.), Leah Smith (Jr.), Mary Ellis (Jr.) won the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:39.36. That time meets the NCAA Provisional Standard. This is their best time this season, the seventh best time in Division II this season.

Findlay will now await the selections to the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships which will take place in Emporia, Kansas. The event will take place Thursday, May 21 through Saturday, May 23.
