Findlay, Ohio- The University of Findlay men's and women's track and field team kicked off their indoor season hosting the Oiler Opener on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1. After both days of competition, the Oilers dominated the track. The men won with a score of 220.50 and the women won with a score of 202.75 

Top Results – Men   

• Gabe Clement (JR) took third place in the Men's Heptathlon scoring 4477.  

• Shakur Payton (JR) took first place in high jump with a height of 2.03m which meets the NCAA Provisional Standard.  

• Eliot Cummings (SR) took first place in long jump with a distance of 7.10m and Shakur Payton (JR) took third place jumping 6.99m  

• Hunter Tresnan-Reighard (JR) finished third in shot put with a mark of 15.98m  

• Jacob Michael (SR) took second place in pole vault with a height of 4.91m which meets the NCAA Provisional Standard. Alex Mutchler (SR) finished third with a height of 4.76m.  

• Mondra Curry (JR) took first place in triple jump with a distance of 14.09m and Omari Welch-Guytan (JR) took second place with a jump of 14.04m  

• Orry Willems (JR) placed second in the weight throw with a mark of 20.01m, meeting the NCAA Provisional Standard.  

•  KJ Upshaw (SO) finished second in the 60 meter dash with a time of 6.98 followed by Stephen Powell (JR) with a time of 7.00 

•  Nick Rice (JR) placed first in the 400 meter dash with a time of 49.65. Following closely Dylan Reason (JR) took second place with a time of 50.80.  

• Joe Sadowski (JR) placed third in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:59.69 

• Josh Verhoff (SR) took first place in the 200 meter dash with a time of 21.58, meeting the NCAA Provisional Standard. KJ Upshaw (SO) placed second with a time of 22.65.  

• Simon Derstine (JR) finished second in the 1 mile run with a time of 4:24.16 

• The 4x400 meter relay team consisting of Dylan Reason (JR), Isaac Webb (SR), Elijah Doster (FR), and Hassan Sesay (SR) finished first with a time of 3:29.74 

Top Results- women 

• Trista Fintel (JR) placed second in shot put with a mark of 15.07m which meets the NCAA Provisional Standard.  

• Lindsey Kluesener (SR) took first place in pole vault with a height of 4.00m and Victoria Harvey (FR) took second with a height of 3.95m. Both Kluesener and Harvey met the NCAA Provisional Standard.  

• Ashley Sigmon (SO) tied for first place in the high jump with a height of 1.58m. 

• Madison Myers (JR) placed second in long jump with a distance of 5.53m. Myers also took second place in the triple jump with a distance of 11.09m. 

• Paige Emnett (SR) clinched first place in the weight throw with a mark of 18.91m. Trista Fintel (JR) placed third with a throw of 17.61m. Emnett and Fintel hit the NCAA Provisional Standards. 

• Amelia Mizelle (SO) took third place in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.35.  

• Jordan Taylor (SR) took first place in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.50 meeting the NCAA Provisional Standard. Freshman Leah Smith placed second with a time of 7.79. 

• Mary Ellis (FR) placed second in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:00.51 

• Olivia Fenbert (FR) took second place in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:22.02 and Mackenzie Schneider (JR) placed third with a time of 2:22.10  

• Jordan Taylor (SR) finished first in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.78 meeting another NCAA Provisional Standard 

• The 4x400 meter relay team consisting of Peyton Heitmeyer (SO), Anna Kluesener (JR), Jordan Taylor (SR), and Mackenzie Schneider (JR) finished first with a time of 4:09.55
