Box Score Findlay, Ohio- The University of Findlay women's soccer team faced off against the Tiffin University Dragons at DeHaven Soccer Complex on Sep. 20. The Oilers took the early lead that led them to a 2-0 win over the Dragons. With the win the Oilers are now 1-3-2 overall and 1-1 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) while the Dragons fall 1-1-3 overall and 1-1-1 in the G-MAC.
The Oilers were led by duo senior Hannah Rybicki and sophomore Peyton Miller. The Oilers took control of the game right out of the gate with a goal in the first 20 seconds of play from Rybicki assisted by Miller putting the Oilers in the lead 1-0. Just six minutes later Rybicki would find the back of the net after an assist from Miller, putting the score at 2-0.
The Oilers defense shut down the Dragons only allowing five shots on the day. Senior goalkeeper Kennedy Slovak recorded one save to help the Oilers to victory.
The Oilers will travel to Kentucky to face off against the Thomas More University Saints on Saturday Sep. 23 at 1pm.
