The Game
For the first time in 20 years, the University of Findlay men's soccer team has been selected for the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship. The 40-team tournament bracket features four Super Regions. The Oilers secured the sixth-seed after earning an automatic bid by winning the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Championship last week.
Findlay, who earned a bye in round one, will face the third-seeded Maryville University Saints of the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC). The game is set to kick off at 1:00 p.m. CT on Saturday, Nov. 23, at Maryville Soccer Field on the Maryville University campus in St. Louis, Missouri. This marks the first ever meeting of the two teams.

2024 Findlay Soccer Coaching Staff
It has been 7,670 days since the Oilers competed in the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship. Findlay earned their spot in the tournament after winning their first Great Midwest Championship title in program history, just a week ago.
Findlay enters the tournament, averaging 2.21 goals per game, the best in the conference. Meanwhile, they hold their opponents to an average of 1.05 goals per contest. The Oilers' 41 goals this season lead the conference and rank 29th in Division II.
Senior Brendan Ash, a second team all-conference selection, is at the forefront of the Oilers' offensive efforts, leading the Orange and Black with eight goals scored this season. He is averaging .421 goals per contest, the sixth-most in the G-MAC. Sophomore
Oliver Lindstrom, who was named first team all-conference, is also an offensive threat from midfield, scoring six goals this year.
Despite battling injury, senior Maciej Gaszynski has been a strong offensive presence as well, adding six goals this season which included the game-winning goal in the G-MAC Championship. Notably, eleven other Oilers have also contributed goals, showcasing a well-balanced offensive effort.
Junior Keegan Grant, the Great Midwest Goalkeeper of the Year, has been a steady presence in goal. The goalkeeper has logged 1,547 minutes in net, holding a 9-3-5 record. He has accumulated 66 saves while allowing just 18 goals for a save percentage of 0.786, the best in the conference.Â

2024 Maryville Soccer Coaching Staff
The Saints are making their fifth-straight NCAA Tournament appearance after falling in the finals of the GLVC Championship in penalty kicks to Lewis University. Just a year ago, Maryville battled all the way to the NCAA quarterfinals, hosted by fellow GLVC-institution UIndy, falling 3-2 to Lewis.
Maryville enters the tournament averaging 1.38 goals per game while allowing opponents 1.00 goals per game.
The GLVC Offensive Player of the Year, senior Mason Crew headlines Maryville's offense. He has scored six goals while amassing six assists for a total of 18 points. The first-team all-GLVC selection's theatrics played a key role in Saints' success, with four game-winning goals—now five after his overtime dagger in the GLVC quarterfinals.
First-team all-conference senior Bryce Glisson has contributed offensively with five goals and six assists this season, while sophomore Yayo Mutombo has added four goals from the midfield.
In goal for Maryville, is junior Steen Nielsen who has recorded over 1,100 minutes in goal. He has allowed just eight goals in twelve games, recording a save percentage of 0.778.Â
