Cincinnati, Ohio- The University of Findlay men's and women's track and field team traveled to compete in day two of the Oliver Nikoloff Invite on March 30. After a long day of competing the Oilers had several notable finishes. Â

·      Alex Mutchler (SR) won the pole vault with a mark of 5.20m meeting the NCAA Provisional Standards on his outdoor debut. That height also tied the University of Findlay outdoor record which has stood since 2013 and was set by Corey Shank.
·      Chris Campbell (JR) took fourth place in long jump with a mark of 7.05mÂ
·      Trey Boblitt (SO) finished fourth in high jump with a height of 1.95mÂ
·      Mondra Curry (SR) won the triple jump with a mark of 14.13m. Omari Welch-Guytan (JR) fnished closely behind with a mark of 14.03mÂ
·      The 4x100 meter relay team consisting of Kemari Robinson (SO), KJ Upshaw (SO), Hassan Sesay (SR), and Josh Verhoff (GR) took first place with a time of 40.49 meeting the NCAA Provisional Standard.
·      Josh Verhoff (GR) finished second in the 100m dash with a time of 10.53. Sherron Jones (SO) took fourth place with a time of 10.79 and KJ Upshaw (SO) finished fifth with a time of 10.83Â
·      Xavier Marable (GR) finished second in the 400m dash with a time of 47.75Â
·      Nick Rice (SR) finished third in the 400m hurdles with a time of 54.80Â
·      Sherron Jones (SO) took second place in the 200m dash with a time of 21.58 and Kemari Robinson (SO) finished fourth with a time of 21.84Â

·      Hailey Wilson (SR) took fourth in the 5000m run with a time of 18:21.36.Â

The Oilers will be back in action April 5 as groups will travel to East Lansing, Michigan to compete in the Spartan Invite and Tampa, Florida for day one of the South Florida Invitational.Â
