Tampa, Florida- The University of Findlay's track and field team sent a small group to compete at the South Florida Invitational, hosted by the University of South Florida. Day two, Saturday, April 6, featured just women's events. After a long day of competition, the team had a record-breaking meet as they set three new school records in the sunshine state.

• The 4x100 meter relay team consisting of
Leah Smith (FR),
Taylor Ivory (JR),
Kylie Ray (SR), and
Jordan Taylor (SR) finished fourth with a time of 45.51 setting a new school record and meeting the NCAA Provisional Standards. That time is the fourth best in Division II this season.

Kylie Ray (SR) placed second in the 400m hurdles with a time of 59.74 meeting the NCAA Provisional Standard. That is the second fastest time in Division II this season.

Jordan Taylor (SR) finished third in the 200m dash with a time of 23.61. With this time Taylor crushed a 22-year-old record previously held by Tanea Green. As well as meeting the NCAA Provisional Standard. Her time is the seventh fastest in Division II this year.
• The 4x400 meter relay team consisting of
Taylor Ivory (JR),
Mary Ellis (FR),
Jordan Taylor (SR), and
Kylie Ray (SR) placed third with a time of 3:42.78. With this time, they set a new school record breaking the old mark of 3:43.04 that was set in 2016. They also met the NCAA Provisional Standard. That time is the fifth best in Division II this season.

It has been a very strong start to the outdoor season. We tried to setup our schedule to get some great opportunities to perform well early and have taken advantage so far. The women's group has been impressive and are bought-in and are performing at a really high level. The whole group has really taken a step forward this year and it's been exciting to see.
The Oilers will be back in action on Thursday, April 11 as the Oilers will split up and travel to Long Beach, California to compete in the Pacific Coast Invite and Azusa, California for the Bryan Clay Invitational.
