Findlay Concludes ITA Regionals | Zaytseva & Kovacevic Headline

Allendale, Mich.- The University of Findlay women's tennis team traveled to Allendale, Mich. to compete in day one the ITA Regionals at Grand Valley State. The tournament consisted of both singles and doubles split brackets of three flights.

As a team, we had an outstanding weekend. Individually, Ana played incredible against some of the best players in the country and reached the finals in the 'A Draw', winning five singles matches against some of the best players in the country. Freshman Polina Zaytseva showed real grit winning six singles matches and taking home the title in the 'B Draw' singles. This was a breakthrough tournament for our team, characterized by mental toughness up and down our line-up. I'm very excited about the direction of our team.

The women's tennis team will be back in action Sep. 20- Sep. 22 as they travel to Ypsilanti, Mich. for the Eastern Michigan University Invite.
