Allendale, Mich./Kent, Ohio- The University of Findlay track and field teams split up to compete in various meets on Friday Feb. 14th. A group of Oilers traveled to Allendale, Mich. To compete in day one of the Grand Valley State University Big Meet. While another group traveled to Kent, Ohio to compete in day one of the Doug Raymond Invitational hosted by Kent State. After a busy afternoon the Oilers wrapped up day one with several notable finishes.Â

Women's:Â
·        Senior Jordan Taylor won the 60m dash with a time of 7.41 reaching #11 in the Division II Indoor NCAA rankings. Sophomore Leah Smith finished second with a time of 7.49. Both Taylor and Smith hit the NCAA Provisional Standard.Â
·        Senior Kylie Ray finished sixth in the 60 hurdles with a time of 8.74 and sixth in the 800m run with a time of 2:09.03. Ray hit the NCAA Provisional Standard in both events Â
·        Senior Jordan Taylor also won the 200m dash with a time of 23.82 beating her previously set record of 23.90. Taylor also claims #4 in the Division II Indoor NCAA rankings. Sophomore Leah Smith grabs second with a time of 24.19 grabbing #13 in the rankings. Taylor and Smith both hit the NCAA Provisional Standard.

Women'sÂ
·        Junior Katelyn Heath claimed 12th in the long jump with a mark of 5.20m.Â
Men'sÂ
·        Freshman Camden St John would take fourth in high jump with a mark of 1.95m. Freshman Owen Ackerman finished seventh with a height of 1.90m.Â
·        Senior Chris Campbell took third in the long jump with a mark of 7.17m hitting the NCAA Provisional Standard. Senior Gabe Clement would take ninth with a mark of 6.64m.Â
The Oilers will be back in action Saturday Feb. 15 as they continue to day two of the GVSU Big Meet and Doug Raymond Invitational. The Oilers will also send a group to Tiffin, Ohio to compete in The Robinson Family Open. Â
