Charlottesville, VA- The University of Findlay track and field team wrapped up the Virginia Challenge hosted by the University of Virginia on Saturday, April 19. After a long day of competition, the Oilers are heading home with several notable finishes.
Notable Finishes
Women:

Bailey Chenevey (Sr.) finished 39th in the 800 m run with a time of 2:14.93.
Hailey Wilson (Sr.) took 43rd with a time of 2:15.73
·
Amelia Mizelle (Jr.) took 33rd place in the 100h dash with a time of 14.56 and
Zanri Black (Fr.) finished 41st with a time of 15.22
· The 4x100m relay team consisting of
Taylor Ivory (Sr.),
Leah Smith (So.),
Kylie Ray (Sr.), and
Jordan Taylor (Sr.) won with a time of 44.58 meeting the NCAA Provisional Standard and advancing to number one in Division II. With this time, they will set a new school record beating their previous time of 44.96 set in 2024

Taylor Ivory (Sr.) finished 30th in the 400m dash with a time of 55.93,
Mary Ellis (So.) took 45th with a time of 57.05 and
Zanri Black (Fr.) claimed 59th with a time of 58.24

Leah Smith (So.) won the 200m dash with a time of 23.61 and
Jordan Taylor (Sr.) took seventh with a time of 24.06. Smith's time ties the program record.
· The 4x400m relay team consisting of
Kylie Ray (Sr.),
Taylor Ivory (Sr.),
Jordan Taylor (Sr.), and
Leah Smith (So.) claimed second with a time of 3:37.08 meeting the NCAA Provisional Standard. With this time, they beat the earlier school record of 3:39.94 set in 2024.

Jaxen Durfey (So.) took 44th in the 800m run with a time of 1:54.49.
Jordan Foster (Sr.) finished 61st with a time of 1:56.03.

Hassan Sesay (Sr.) took 47th with a time of 22.09

Gabe Clement (Sr.) finished 12th in the javelin throw with a mark of 56.90m

Shakur Payton (Sr.) claimed second in high jump with a mark of 2.01m.
Owen Ackerman (Fr.) tied for ninth with a mark of 1.91m and
Trey Boblitt (Jr.) took 12th with a mark of 1.86m
· Nate Buschur (So.) tied for 12th in the pole vault with a mark of 4.70m
· Hunter Tresnan-Rieghard (Sr.) took tenth in discus throw with a mark of 50.19m and
Eyan Wilson (Jr.) finished 43.71m

Mondra Curry (Sr.) took 25th in the triple jump with a mark of 13.11m
The Oilers will be back in action Thursday, April 24 as they travel to North Canton, Ohio to compete in the Walsh Invite.
