Allendale, Mich.- The University of Findlay track and field team traveled a small group of athletes to compete in the GVSU Last Chance Meet on Sunday, May 11. The Oilers had several athletes take top finishes to improve their national rankings.
Top Results
Men:
- Kage Hefner (Fr.) won the pole vault with a mark of 5.08m meeting the NCAA Provisional Standard.
- Hunter Tresnan-Rieghard (Sr.) won the shot put after a throw of 17.42m and Eyan Wilson (Jr.) finished third with a mark of 17.37m. Both Tresnan-Rieghard and Wilson met the NCAA Provisional Standard with their throws.
- Hunter Tresnan-Rieghard (Sr.) took third in the discus with a mark of 50.68m meeting the NCAA Provisional Standard. Eyan Wilson (Jr.) finished ninth with a mark of 45.85m.
- Collin Warner (Sr.) finished fifth in the hammer throw with a mark of 59.73m meeting the NCAA Provisional Standard. Leyton Nossa (Jr.) took ninth with a mark of 55.22m.
Women:
- Colleen Steinmetz (Fr.) finished second in pole vault after a mark of 3.96m meeting the NCAA Provisional Standard. Tru Buddenberg (So.) took fourth with a mark of 3.66m.
- Brooke Coulter (Sr.) finished second in shot put with a mark of 15.71m meeting the NCAA Provisional Standard. Kelsey Kennon (Sr.) took seventh with mark of 13.38m.
- Brooke Coulter (Sr.) took third in the hammer throw after a throw of 54.90m meeting the NCAA Provisional Standard.
Findlay's next meet will be the NCAA DII National Championship which takes place in Pueblo, Colo. on May 22-24.
