Presidents' Cup Final Standings

Indianapolis, Ind. - The University of Findlay department of athletics has captured its' sixth Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Presidents' Cup as the league office unveiled the final standings on Friday, May 16. This marks the sixth time in seven years that the Oilers have won the cup.

The G-MAC Presidents' Cup is awarded each year to the member institution that collects the highest tally of points based on regular season winning percentage (standings) or individual meet results (sports with no conference regular season schedule) through the athletic year. The Oilers secured 194.5 points in the standings for the 2024-25 season, 12.5 points higher than Ashland University who finished runner-up and 37 points higher than Tiffin University which took third.

"Looking back at the 2024-25 season, we are incredibly excited to once again earn the Great Midwest Presidents' Cup here in Findlay," stated Director of Athletics, Jim Givens. "The dedication and talent of our student-athletes, coupled with the leadership of our coaches, the expertise of our athletic trainers, and the support of our administrators, are the cornerstones of our successful athletic program. Their continuous pursuit of excellence, both in competition and in their academic pursuits, truly reflects our university's deep commitment to athletic distinction."

Unlike last year when the Oilers needed a late push in the spring to earn the Cup, in 2024-25, Findlay was at the top of the standings through each of the three seasons, fall, winter, and spring.

The fall season was highlighted by thrilling G-MAC Tournament Championship runs by both volleyball and men's soccer. None of Findlay's six fall sports finished lower than fourth in the conference standings.

In the winter, men's basketball earned the maximum amount of points with a regular season title while men's and women's swimming each won conference titles to earn full points, as well.

This spring, women's golf secured the G-MAC Championship while women's tennis won the regular season title to pick up full points.

Of Findlay's 22 programs, none finished lower than fifth in any conference standing.

Findlay has now won the Presidents' Cup five times, the most in the history of the G-MAC.
