Ashland, Ohio- The University of Findlay men and women's track and field teams wrapped up the final day of competition at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championship on Friday, May 2. The men finished in third place scoring 152 points, while the women's team clinched the runner-up spot with 168 points. Â

Leah Smith (So.) won the G-MAC title in the 100m dash with a time of 11.25. With this time Smith will set a new school record, beating her previous time of 11.48. Her time today is the second fastest in Division II this season.Â
Jordan Taylor (Sr.) would finish runner up with a time of 11.38. Both Smith and Taylor would meet the NCAA Provisional Standard. Â

Kylie Ray (Sr.) defended her G-MAC title in the 400m hurdles with a winning time of 1:01.16 meeting the NCAA Provisional Standard.
Zanri Black (Fr.) would take runner up with a time of 1:02.93 and
Peyton Heitmeyer (Jr.) finished fifth with a time of 1:05.41.Â

Jordan Taylor (Sr.) defended her G-MAC title in the 200m dash with a winning time of 23.23 beating her previous school record time of 23.43. Her time is also the fourth fastest in Divsion II this season.Â
Leah Smith (So.) would finish runner up with a time of 23.28. With these times both Taylor and Smith would meet the NCAA Provisional Standard. Â

Kylie Ray was named the Track Athlete of the Meet by the Great Midwest.Â
The Oilers will be back in action May 8 as they will travel to Hillsdale, Mich. to compete in the Hillsdale Last Chance Event. Â
