Hillsdale, Mich.- The University of Findlay track and field team traveled a group of Oilers to compete in the Hillsdale Last Chance meet held Wednesday, May 7. After a long day of competition, the Oilers had several notable finishes.  

Notable Finishes 

Men: 

• Hunter Tresnan-Rieghard (Sr.) took third place in the discus throw with a mark of 49.45m.  

• Eyan Wilson (Jr.) won the shot put after a throw of 17.52m meeting the NCAA Provisional Standard. Hunter Tresnan-Rieghard (Sr.) finished third with a mark of 16.17m.  

• Leyton Nossa (Jr.) and Collin Warner (Sr.) tied for sixth in the elite section of the hammer throw with a mark of 58.25m meeting the NCAA Provisional Standard.  

• The 4x100m relay team consisting of Stephen Powell (Sr.), KJ Upshaw (Jr.), Hassan Sesay (Sr.), Sherron Jones (Jr.) finished fourth with a time of 40.67 meeting the NCAA Provisional Standard.  

• Simon Derstine (Sr.) finished second in the 1500m run with a time of 3:46.63 meeting the NCAA Provisional Standard. With this time Derstine would set a new school record beating the previous time of 3:48.65 set by Jordan Foster in 2023. Jordan Foster (Sr.) would take eighth place with a time of 3:54.59.  

• Sherron Jones (Jr.) finished third in the 200m dash with a time of 21.14, meeting the NCAA Provisional Standard.  

Women: 

• Tru Buddenberg (So.) and Maci Ames (So.) were in a seven-way tie for seventh place in pole vault after a mark of 3.57m. 

• Brooke Coulter (Sr.) took third in the shot put with a mark of 14.54m, meeting the NCAA Provisional Standard. Kelsey Kennon (Sr.) tied for sixth with a mark of 13.64m. 

• Brooke Coulter (Sr.) finished fifth in the elite section of the hammer throw after a throw of 52.49m.  

• Zanri Black (Fr.) took second in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:01.51 meeting the NCAA Provisional Standard.  

The Oilers will be back in action Friday, May 9 as they split up and compete in a pair of meets.
